Cloud Nine store in Amsterdam

I'm a perfume lover who reviews perfumes on Youtube. Cloud Nine is a one of my favorite perfume stores in the Netherlands. Last Sunday I payed them a visit and purchased Grand Neroli from Cologne Atelier. During the time I spent in the shop, I also had an exclusive interview with the owner. The brands they carry are:

The owners Rogier Donker and his sister Denise started the store 5 years ago. They have both grown up in Amsterdam where lifestyle is a daily bussines. Robert worked for years at one of the haute couture stores at the famous PC Hoofdstraat. At Cloude Nine they do not sell only perfumes. It is a lifestyle - concept store, in the centre of Amsterdam - the Netherlands. 

In some perfume stores they tell you about fragrances, without looking at the person. This is not the case at Cloud Nine. They will look at you first. Who are you and what will fit to you.

Robert:

When someone walks into the store I do a scan on a personal level. I combine the passion of that person with the passion of the product that's been put in by the designer. It's all about communication. And it works. 

Rogier and Denise carefully selected products that they like themselves with different styles, design and origin. And the Cloud Nine collection is not only about exclusive products. You can walk around, sniff perfumes, feel the cosy atmosphere and laugh with the owners. There is no rush or hurry. The products vary from exclusive Ineke perfumes, jewelry from Club Manhatten,  till flip-flops from Ipanema Gisele. In 2008 they opened a webshop that makes shopping even easier. 

Inside the store

If you are in Amsterdam take one hour (including the walk) to visit the Cloud Ninestore. It is located in the Western part of the city Centre, only 15 minutes on foot from the Central Station in the Jordaan neighborhood (where Anne Frank's house is). After visiting Cloud Nine you could easily walk out with a little upgrade on your lifestyle.

My other favourite scents in Cloud Nine are Nasomatto - Black Afgano for winter, Von Eusersdorff - Mimosa for fall and Ineke - Fieldnotes from Paris for spring (& fall). Not to forget the gorgeous Cire Trudon candles... and I love the Ipanema Gisele flip-flops.
